I compared this against Phyto's Ultra Shine Smoothing Serum which received rave reviews by Sephora and it did control my frizzy hair however it weighed down the curls.
I wouldn't use this if I wanted straight hair, I use Frederic Fekkai glossing cream with olive oil for that since the extra weight actually helps.
