(More customer reviews)I have been trying to find that perfect hair product that tames fine, wild, flyaway, frizzy hair. I have color-treated, fine hair, but alot of it. I have used various anti-frizz serums with mixed results. My main complaint with the anti-frizz serums is that they tended to weigh my hair down and give it that oily appearance. Anyway, I decided to try Bumble & Bumble's new QUENCHING COMPLEX about 3 months ago. I am hooked!
The QUENCHING COMPLEX detangles and moisturizes (helping tame those unruly flyaways). I put it on right after washing my hair so that it eliminates any tangles and makes combing easier. I do have to admit that I use more than an amount to "lightly coat." I really concentrate it on the lower half and then just wipe the leftover on the top near the scalp. It looks and feels like a very light hair conditioner. It does NOT weigh my hair down or leave it oily. It generally helps keep my hair "tamed" for about 12-18 hours. Sometimes, if it is really humid out, I apply more when my hair is dry (before I style it).
I have found that the QUENCHING COMPLEX works best for me when I use it in conjunction with either the B&B Quenching CONDITIONER or MASQUE or B&B Mending Conditioner. I do usually use a B&B Shampoo (but that doesn't seem to have that big of an impact as the conditioner). I also (while my hair is wet AND after I apply the QUENCHING COMPLEX) apply the B&B Thickening Spray to the roots of the hair at the crown of my head. I do completely blow-dry my hair (but usually am too lazy to "round brush" it out). I finish it out by putting in the JUMBO size hot rollers for the finishing touch (to straighten and provide one/two waves). ALL of this COMBINED, seems to give me the best results. If I don't do all of them, I don't seem to get as good of an end result.
FYI ... I generally purchase my B&B products either from Fragrancenet.com or from B&B directly.
