However, this product does a great job of sealing split ends to prevent further splitting. It also helps protect hair from heat styling - the main cause of my split ends. I color my hair every 7 - 8 weeks and I blow dry and flat iron my hair several times a week. My hair was in serious disrepair after my most recent coloring experience and needed a serious overhaul. I have been using this product along with the other Essential Repair products from Pureology for about a month and its like I have a new head of hair. My hair is silky and much smoother. Fewer fly-aways and split ends plus my color is lasting much longer. Definitely try this product if your hair (especially your ends) are in need of serious help.
