(More customer reviews)I've colored my hair for years to cover the increasing amount of bright silver gray in my dark brown hair. This is the ONLY product I have ever found outside of a salon that did a fabulous job and I'm very distressed that it's been discontinued.
The gray coverage is excellent, the color (4N) matched my hair color perfectly. The color did not get red in the sun or fade too quickly. (The semi-permanent hair colors all fade out extremely quickly and end up looking dull and drab on me way before roots are ever noticeable. The ones that claim they last 28 shampoos are a joke - they last about 10.) With this product I needed to color about every 5-6 weeks and since I wash my hair every day that's nearly 40 shampoos.
There is no smell and I had no problems with my skin staining (I followed the advice to put lotion on before coloring and that seems to work great).
I have looked in vain for a no-ammonia, permanent replacement product by L'Oreal or any other company without success. Maybe it's finally time to go gray!
