It did well on my very dry hair and scalp and also made my unruly hair more manageable. I've let my hair grow much longer than my usual crew cut and this shampoo softened it and made it easier for me to comb it more neatly.
The fragrance is just bursting with freshness, a neutral, but very clean and invigorating scent.
While I've used this shampoo, I really haven't thought about having it cut to crew length just to keep it from going stubbornly in it's own direction.
Great for very wavy, unmanageable hair like mine and I'd recommend it without hesitation.
